6.4.2 Oracle HFM - Connecting to HFM Applications
Report Authority can connect to one or more HFM applications in the same document. To create a connection, click Manage Connections on the Home ribbon:
Once clicked - the Data Connections dialog will appear:
- Name - Enter the name for the connection.
- Environment - Select from the list of configured environments, such as Development, Test and Production.
Click the Connect button. Report Authority will attempt to connect to the environment to read the list of available Clusters and Applications.
- Cluster - Select the cluster from the list of clusters found.
- Application - Select the application from the list of applications found.
You must select a member from each of the Scenario, View and ICP dimension to be the default member for that dimension. When mapping report objects, it is optional to provide a member from any of these dimensions - their value will be inherited from the connection if no explicit member is given. Furthermore, the Scenario, View or ICP of all existing objects can changed by simply updating the connection's POV Default values.
- Click OK to save the POV defaults
- Click Add to add the connection.
