5.5 Generating an XBRL Instance Document

An XBRL instance can be generated by clicking the Generate XBRL Instance button:

When generating an instance document, the authority to which the document will be submitted will be displayed: 

You will have the option to validate the document before the XBRL instance document is created.  This option is selected by default but can be unselected by clicking on the checkbox for Validate using Authority's rules. A warning will be given if any validation failures are detected. You can still generate an XBRL instance document with validation failures present.

You have the option export the XBRL instance as a zip file. This will also be selected by default and can be unselected by clicking on the checkbox for Compress the output into a zip file.
