Secondary Tags Panel - Creating an Extended Secondary Tag
(This article applies only to documents with a taxonomy loaded that requires taxonomy extensions, such as ESMA's ESEF Taxonomy)
Secondary tags are often used to differentiate tags on the same row but in different columns in a table - for example, a Statement of changes in equity will typically have columns to represent each class of equity, such as Share capital or Share premium.
If the taxonomy does not contain a secondary tag appropriate for a class of equity being reported, an extended secondary tag can be created. To do this, select the element which will be the parent of the new extended secondary tag and click the Add Secondary Tag Extension button.
