10.7.1 NetSuite - Configuring NetSuite to work with Report Authority

To use Report Authority's NetSuite adaptor, the following setup needs to take place in NetSuite:

  1. Install the Report Authority NetSuite bundle.
  2. Assign the Report Authority user role to individual users.
  3. Create a NetSuite integration.

Installing the Report Authority NetSuite bundle

In NetSuite,

  • go to Customization -> SuiteBundler -> Search and Install Bundles.
  • Use the Keywords "NB2 iXBRL".
  • Find the bundle with the name "NB2 iXBRL Report Authority" from the company name "NoBlue2 - Product Deployment" and install it.

Assigning the Report Authority user role

Once the bundle has been installed, a new user role "Report Authority" will be created. This role must be assigned to all users who need access to NetSuite data through Report Authority.

To assign the role, in NetSuite:

  • Got to Lists -> Employees -> Employees.
  • Edit each individual user.
  • Click the Access tab.
  • Search for the Report Authority role and add it to the user.

Create an Integration in NetSuite

To create an integration, search for "Integration". This will access the following form:

  • Name - Enter "Report Authority"
  • Concurrency Limit - Enter the same number shown in the Max Concurrency Limit
  • Callback URL - Enter "http://localhost/netsuite"
  • OAuth 2.0 - Disable Authorisation Code Grant

Save the integration. You will then be presented with two keys you must take note of:

  • Consume Key / Client ID
  • Consumer Secret / Client Secret

Once you leave this form you cannot retrieve them - you would otherwise have to create a new integration.

At this point - NetSuite is configured to allow Report Authority to integrate with it. The next article details how to prepare Report Authority to communicate with your NetSuite application.
