6.3 Business Rules

Some schemas include additional business rule validations that are not defined within the .xsd files. These are mainly conditional mandatory rules, but for many reports, they must be considered to ensure compliance and a valid submission. This currently applies to the Alternative Investment Fund (AIF, v1.2) and Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM, v1.2) schemas.

The additional business rule validation functionality is separately licensable and is presented through a new Business Rules validation panel.

An element that is mandatory according to business rules but missing will be highlighted in the document in blue as shown below:

An element that is forbidden by business rules will be crossed out in blue as shown below:

An element that is mandatory according to the current document state but forbidden by business rules will be crossed out in purple as shown below:

When you hover over the blue indicator in the bottom right corner of a cell in the table, a tooltip will appear, providing information about the corresponding business rule error.
