6.1 Validating

XML Authority contains a real-time validation panel that displays all validation errors as they occur in the current table you have displayed. This panel is located at the bottom of the screen and can be dragged upwards by clicking in the area displayed below:

Each validation rule can be double-clicked or right-clicked to direct you to the element within the table that has created the error. The element with an error will be highlighted in purple as seen below:

The validations errors are defined by the schema and should be used to navigate the regulator's requirements for submission.

When you right-click on any error in the Validation grid, you can use the Export Validation Errors to Excel button to save the validation results to a separate Excel document.

When you click on the top half of the Export button on the XML ribbon

XML Authority will generate the XML instance and run a check to see if it conforms with the schema XSD.  If any issues are detected, an XML Validation Result dialogue will open displaying the validation issues.
