6.2 Generating an XML Instance Document
Once you have populated the schema with all of the necessary information required for the submission and have cleared all validation errors from the validation panel, you can generate an XML Document by selecting the upper half of "Export" button in the XML ribbon.
You will be prompted to select a location to save this file and once selected an XML version of the file will be created.
When you click the lower half of the Export button, you will see an option to export “With Advanced Options…”.
This opens the Advanced Export Settings form, where you can modify namespaces and schema locations, select an encoding, and enter any processing instructions to meet your reporting requirements. You can reset all values in the form to their default settings at any time by clicking the Reset to Defaults button.
Importing data from XML
You can import data into the current document from an XML instance created using the same schema.
To do this, click the Import button on the XML ribbon to import the document into XML Authority. You can now make any necessary changes to the table or add any required data, and generate an updated XML document using the Export button.
