3.1 Overview

XML Authority displays the schema as a human-readable set of forms and tables.  Elements that can have more than one value are broken down into their own table.

In the example below from the Country-By-Country schema, Transmitting Country can have only one value, but Receiving Country can have multiple values.

When the "Go to the table" button is clicked, a form is opened where multiple records can be entered. This is why the values for Receiving Country must be entered into a multi-line table.

Please note that you can customise how a schema is being displayed by using the Schema Masking functionality.  Using the same example, if you only ever intend on using a single Receiving Country, you can convert the "Go to the table" button to be an input cell.  This will simplify the navigation of the schema and the structure of your source data.

Several schemas include the Report Setup Wizard which automatically applies the Schema Masking functionality to create reporting templates.
